According to a recent report by Engadget, Vodafone UK has already sold a white iPhone 4 before the actual schedule. The iPhone 4 has a modified proximity sensor to avoid any future controversies. Did Apple just sell 2 million+ iPads in March? The iPad 1 sold 15 million units in 9 months last year and thats under 2 million a month with a global rollout. However the iPad 2 has just seen 1 week in UK (and that was some launch !) and has been out for 20 days in March for US (with a new Verizon version). We already know that iPad 2 has been launched in US. There were confusions between people whether the 3G+Wifi version will have the same boundation of contract from carriers or not. Now this is as weird as it gets. We all knew that SkyFires’s pseudo flash enabled browser of the same name was to make its debut in to the Apple App Store some time this week. Well the unthinkable did happen earlier today and it seems folks over at SkyFire are having a hard time meeting the traffic demands of iOS users.

AT&T and Apple had a tough time handling the demand for iPhone 4, when they opened the pre-order gates a couple of days back. Soon after they delivery dates were jumped from 24th to July 2nd, but now surprisingly the Apple store and ATT are showing the delivery dates as July 14th in US. Yesterday Apple announced that Unlocked iPhone 4 can be bought directly from its online store!! The UK apple store and France apple store has already accepted pre orders and would be shipped from July 2.

The 16GB iPhone is priced at £499 and 32 GB at £599. This according to me is very competitive price considering that iPhone 3GS 16GB was selling at £450 until a few weeks back. Interestingly we can a 8GB iPhone 3GS (more…)

Its official, the momentum at which Apple sold the iPad in the first month continues. Apple has proudly announced that the iPad has sold 2 million units in under 60 days. The iPad 3G version went on sale recently and Apple has also taken the device out of US now (in 9 countries) with strong demand. Apple has proudly informed us that they have achieved the 1 millionth mark with the iPad in just 28 days. This is more than 100% better than the 74 days iPhone took to sell 1 million units. Apple went on sale with the 3G version of the iPad recently and it is believed that the 1 million iPads have 30% 3G versions. Having used the iPad for close to half a month now, I am somewhat addicted to this while traveling already. No doubt that this is (more…)
