I just jailbreaked my old iPhone 3GS that was stuck on iOS 4.0.2 without a jailbreak / unlock. With Limera1n / Greenpois0n coming in I was able to jailbreak the phone easily. I used the DTIS SIM (you may also use AT&T SIM or whichever carrier your phone is locked to) and activated the phone, used ultrasn0w and unlocked the phone successfully. Apple just opened the gates to iOS 4 officially and here we have the download links for the latest mobile OS from Cupertino. The .ipsw files can be used via iTunes to update your iPhones or iPod touch (the iPad version is still a few months away).

When connected to iTunes press shift + restore (option+Restore/update) to use these files.

Update:read the iBluenova 2.0 Review

iBluetooth that brings Bluetooth poweress to your iPhone is now live on the Cydia Store in its new avatar called the “iblueNova“. Reported last week, the update is now live. Thoug the app is stable and smooth we are struggling to get the app working as its now working with my iPhone 2G.

Shortly after Apple outed the new firmware version 3.1.3, the dev team has several updates that makes life a little easier for us. While the previous redsn0w v0.9.2 works for iPhone 2G (jailbreak+unlock), iPhone 3G (jailbreak only)& iPod touch 1G (jailbreak); a slightly modified version that is now available for download works for older iPod touch 2G (newer iPod touch 2G/3G come with a updates bootrom refereed as MC).

A firmware upgrade for the iPhone has just come out. The latest version 3.1.2 doesn’t add any noticable features but tackles a hell lot of complaints we heard about the 3.1. Apparently the firmware 3.1 that was outed to support the new features by iTunes 9 left iPhone users with a buggy experience and the problem threads on forums are still flowing.

Saurik has made it once again !!! He managed to replicate Apple’s Signing server. With this server you can bluff your iTunes and after that your iTunes will  authenticate firmware versions that Apple no longer signs, and saves the information during the authentication and will let you to downgrade to lower firmware versions, incase if Apple doesn’t want you to.

All you need  to point your iTunes to this new server…
