The white iPhone 4 was recently released and rumours about iPhone 5 are heavily on a roll but that doesn’t prevent the rumour mill from popping up with rumours about the prototype iPhone 6.

Apple has kept its foot ahead of the competition wrt to the technologies used in its products. Be it the gyroscope or the accelerometer since the original iPhone. Even the IPS and Retina Displays that Apple uses were in full supply to ensure record sales in 2010. No hesitancy in launching the iPod touch with an Retina display again shows that Apple has enough supply to meet it needs.

Apple has sold more iPads than what they expected, now thats good news and a problem of plenty. As it turns out the iPad production issues / supply though recovered from the initial slowness, there is still a good enough supply constraint for iPad displays. LG Display Co supplies the beautiful 9.7″ screen for the iPad and as reported earlier they have supply concerns.

Sources in the component world are speculating that Apple is working on the next iPad already with OLED displays aiming  for a 2011 launch (obvious.) With the growing investment in world market on OLED technology the bet for future is clear. OLED displays have their own disadvantages but they are much better in performance when compared to LCDs.
