I picked up an iPad 3G recently and loaded it with a prepaid Vodafone Prepaid SIM for internet. And to my surprise, frustration and hellboy anger I started to see these irritating promotional messages on my screen. God, they are more irritating than regular SMS spam (which they can’t do on the iPad though).

iOS 4.0 finally brought multitasking to iDevices, unfortunately Apple has limited this feature only to iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iTouch 2G or above. But if you want to get this feature on iPhone 3G you need to jailbreak it(guide here). There are times when you don’t want Safari or other apps like iPod / Notes to rotate automatically. It frustrates a lot when the screen orientation is changed to landscape while on lying on a bed even id we don’t want the screen to rotate. The applications KILL switch that we heard about before, now has a disable able option.
Apparently there is an option in the iPhone App names: BossPrefs. This can be run on Jailbroken iPhone and just a push of a button in this app would Kill the Kill Switch that Apple has planted in the iPhone V2.0 (for security reasons though).
