Apple had plenty to announces yesterday at its World Wide Developers Conference in SFO. The announcements started with the updates to OS X i.e. Lion (on the same lines as they announced before) and then it moved on to the upcoming release of iPhone OS aka iOS 5 and the all new cloud service Cupertino called iCloud.

We have been hearing iCloud rumors for long and a number of possible iOS 5 features were already out as obvious. (more…)

Apple has seeded the another minor update for Mac OS X Snow Leopard – 10.6.8 to developers, according to a report by MacRumors. The build version (10K521) is likely to arrive exactly after two months of the public release of 10.6.7 which included many important bug fixes. Apple releases beta SDK 4.1 and beta iOS 4.1 for developers

Apple has finally released iOS 4.1 beta and beta SDK 4.1 to developers today. The build no. of iOS 4.1 is 8B5080c and it has a new baseband which is 02.07.01 earlier it was 01.59.00 ( 4).

iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4 weighs around 595 mB and 383MB for iPhone 3GS. It also includes a beta version of Game Center (again added), and the signal bars fix.

iPhone developers barred from using location based ads

Apple has notified its app that they cannot use location data collected from /iPod touch (and to come iPad) to deliver ads. However App can continue to use the location information to ‘provide beneficial information’ via their app. Many use inapp advertising as a revenue source and this enables them to offer their apps for free.
