With the WWDC approaching fast and scheduled next week it is a given that iPhone4 rumors start flying htick and fast. Well the latest and the hottest one out htis Monday states that the iPhone 4S (rumored name for the next gen iPhone) will be released some time late July or early August rather than being unveiled at the WWDC next week .

As the days are passing and the date for the iPhone launch is nearing, I am getting worried. Neither Airtel or Vodafone has any advertisement going live. No update on their outlets or call centers either. No mysterious tips received by us or any info from employees pouring in like last time. This is certainly strange. We are just 7 days away from 9th August.

The fine folks at CNET’s Crave blog has got hold of the complete launch schedule for the iPhone 3GS worldwide, for the 80 countries announced earlier in the keynote. Not much of a surprise that the Indian launch date is 9th August! That’s too far, we need it earlier…

Though Vodafone is yet to announce any official date for their iPhone launch in India, Airtel has set 22nd August as the D day! Apple iPhone 3G would finally land in India. But still no official word on pricing yet!
In my opinion it wasn’t the smartest of moves to skip the iPhone 1st Gen in India, as GPS and 3G both are not a trend in India. So ideally it would have made sense for Apple to promote the iPhone 1st Gen (more…)
