One of the most irritating aspects of iOS currently is the notifications. While Android and Bada OS joined the race pretty late, they have this one thing quite sorted out. Sony today introduced a new portable gaming console which Sony calls the “Next Generation Portable”. introduced with a new name, the device is no doubt the next generation PSP and it clearly sports the Playstation branding.

Apple has just released a new update to iTunes which bumps the version number to 10.1.2. Apart from bringing a host of stability and performance enhancements, the update also endows it with official support for the upcoming CDMA iPhone set to arrive on Verizon in the next few days.

Here’s one more indication of the white iPhone 4 arriving very soon. For a brief time, the white version of the iPhone was seen on the Apple Germany iPhone 4 landing page.  Although not a prominent image, it does signify that the white iPhone is still being seriously considered for a launch in to not too distant future.  The image was pulled within minutes although not before people managed to capture a screenshot.

With the Apple iPad launching in India, the tablet markets have spiced up. Apple revolutionized the tablet market last year selling close to 15 million units by year end. But what it actually did is make this years CES a complete ‘me too’ event with dozens of tablets being announced. Apple revealed a super quarter for iPad sales last week and the have now backed up the iPad with an Ad campaign, titled ‘iPad is Iconic’. We have seen several rumors emerging from the beta releases of iOS 4.3 and that has been the trend since a while now. Every upcoming iOS release is leaked with beta releases. Verizon is about to get its first iPhone in a weeks time. The iPhone 4 is finally making it to Verizon in CDMA flavor, but you know whats the question in everyones mind? I picked up an iPad 3G recently and loaded it with a prepaid Vodafone Prepaid SIM for internet. And to my surprise, frustration and hellboy anger I started to see these irritating promotional messages on my screen. God, they are more irritating than regular SMS spam (which they can’t do on the iPad though).

And the worst part, once this message shows up on my iPad screen, it doesn’t goes to sleep and the battery drains till I click (more…)
