Apple bumping 3GS manufacturing by 20% to meet demand?

Foxconn has reportedly received increased orders for manufacturing the iPhone 3Gs in Q4 to meet the growing demand. The increase in order is said to be roughly 17% – 20%. Even OmniVision (which manufacturers sensors for the iPhone) has reportedly informed its customers that there would be supply constraints in order to meet Apple’s increased demands.

Airtel unlocking iPhone in India after 12 month contract ends

We just got a little tip from a reader leaving us a comment Airtel is actually unlocking the iPhone 3G after the 12month contract ends ( just as we heard before ). We also have a little screenshot of the unlock screen here. So while we wait for number portability and the iPhone 3GS to arrive in India, old iPhone owners can enjoy the freedom for now.

Nokia has filed a complaint against Apple alleging that Apple’s iPhone infringes Nokia patents for GSM, UMTS and wireless LAN (WLAN) standards (and we always thought that it would be Apple vs Palm ). The suit concerns all iPhone models produced by Apple. While the original iPhone launched back in 2007 and since then has sold more than 50million iPhones and touch combined.
