Apple had plenty to announces yesterday at its World Wide Developers Conference in SFO. The announcements started with the updates to OS X i.e. Lion (on the same lines as they announced before) and then it moved on to the upcoming release of iPhone OS aka iOS 5 and the all new cloud service from Cupertino called iCloud.

Surprise Surprise! With WWDC less than a week away, how could you expect not getting up with such news / rumors. Apparently AT&T’s iPhone page now lists all Black iPhone 4′s out of stock. Only the White iPhone 4 and Refurbished black versions remain on sale. While this could be a co-incidence, but then it’s hard to resist the rumor. Is Apple gearing up to show the 4S / 5 at 6th June? The emerging rumors that Apple will discontinue the Google Map Service in the next major software upgrade have been supposedly turn out to be false according to 9to5google report. Instead, Apple will continue to provide the service with some improvements in traffic location database and much more. Last time around when Verizon exec spoke about the iPhone 5, it was revealed that the next iPhone would be a world phone. But there was no word on it being LTE or 3G nor any clue on when its arriving. But if we start putting the blocks together, we would get a firm picture. So here is what we know:

a) The iPhone 5th Gen is due sometime sooon. If not June/July, September is being said to be the launch month. But its due!

Apple changed the game with the iPad and the iPhone 4 when they introduced Micro SIMs . Something that other manufacturers still fear to implement. The Micro SIM cuts down the size of the regular SIM card to save precious space inside the handset for other things. While Apple is probably the only one currently dealing with Micro SIM’s, it seems that they aren’t content with that.

Now thats another analyst rumor and we sure take with a pinch of salt. The claim is that Apple’s next iPhone (dubbed the iPhone 4S or 5) won’t have NFC support. One of the hottest technologies that is being unveiled in mobiles this year is NFC and its sure hard to believe that NFC won’t be hitting the iPhones . I personally believe in NFC a lot. Recently, some cases for the next generation iPhone have been appeared on Alibaba.com , one of the popular chinese site which claims of manufacturing the iPhone 5G cases with minute changes in the bezel and positioning of the camera flash. If we compare the bezel with the iPhone 4, we will find that the bezel seems to be a lot thinner which ultimately makes the display bigger in the upcoming iPhone, likely to arrive in september. Now that the iPad 2 buzz is cooling down, we know whats next. The iPhone 5. Apple is perhaps busy giving final touches to its next smartphone, but that doesn’t stop the market to speak about it. Componenet suppliers from Asia seems to have indicated to an analyst that the upcoming iPhone 5th generation won’t be a great shift from what we have seen in the past. Its more like the iPhone 3G to 3Gs update. Apple is expected to retain the same design with impoved aneanna (remember antennagate?) and house a 8 Megapixel camera.
