Apple’s Handhelds Capture 2% Of Global Web Traffic
Apple started hitting mobile internet milestones with the iPhone being a run away success in 2007. With the addition of iPod touch and iPad to the lineup, the iOS (as the iPhone OS is now known) is believed to be the most advanced mobile operating system our there and the stats only echo that. According to Net Applications the iOS does 2% of global Web Browsing and the figure goes as high as 5% in some regions. The market share in US lands at 3.4% and thats pretty respectable for a mobile OS, taking on mainstream computer applications.

Net Applications also brings some cheer to Google with its Chrome browser crossing the 10% mark. Google has marketed Chrome very aggressively with Ad spots and promotions on Google.com and it seems to have paid off.
